Cafe Il Barista in Cologne

Enjoyable espresso!

When walking past just saw Rataouille, but apart from the mouse / rate it actually looks cozy

Today I ordered an espresso doppio and a raspberry pastry from Il Barista on the Hohenzollernring. What was the young service employee doing? He and his colleague blasphemed in my presence (!!!) that I had ordered something vegan and insulted me in an indirect way for no reason. I have no words for such outrageous, intolerant behavior on the part of the employee, and unfortunately I have no understanding. I then complained to the boss. Something like that doesn't work! If you are gossiping about your guests, you should do it so discreetly and quietly that they don't hear it. When asked about his wrongdoing, he said only that I had misunderstood him. Yes, it is clear: p His statements were clear and unequivocal. Such behavior is shameful! After all, the boss apologized to me and wanted to clarify my complaint internally.

Very cozy café with lots of great details. You can hardly walk past here, but should linger. Just a great barista with a lot of love and perfect coffee. To go is also possible, but it makes sense to switch off in the café. Hopefully this will be allowed again soon and just keep it up.

Espresso soft and strong

The cappuccino is very tasty

A nice little shop in the middle of the city or on the Kölner Ring. Unfortunately there is not much seating, but the coffee and the Italian pastries taste what you get. Barrier-free access to the café and the shop window at ground level gives you a good view of the rings.

The espresso macchiato is very good. There are also excellent pastries. Molto italiano

Employees do not all wear masks, even when there are guests in the café. Find this absolutely irresponsible given the current situation.

Great cakes, good pastries, good coffee

This little gem of a cafe! I tried the Espresso Perfetto Cafe and was quite pleased with the quality, but this little place is actually better than the „original“! Coffee was very balanced and well done, latte art on point and the sweets were fresh and delicious! Definitely will come back! Made our rainy day a little bit brighter!

Good coffee. Nice atmosphere for coffee in between.

Maybe those beautiful Vespas that serve as a bar decoration ... Maybe a nice barmaid ? but I liked to drink a delicious double espresso there ?

The service was good, the almond cookies delicious. The cappuccino was not good, however, there is still room for improvement. It's a shame, of course we visited the IL Barista for that. We won't go there anymore, there are better café bars in Cologne.

This has become my go-to place for a good Latte Macchiato in downtown because a) they make a great coffee and b) they have Oatly and c) they are super nice.

It’s new open. Look lovely and nice. I like this concept. Just a problem: there are not so many seats.
